Questions
Before you download
How many GB is GTA 6?
Rockstar has not announced the install size, and the PlayStation and Xbox store pages don't show it yet. Most estimates put it between 150 and 200 GB. This page will show the official size as soon as it appears.
How much free space should I keep for GTA 6?
250 GB. That covers the top of the estimates plus a day-one patch, which big launches often need.
Will GTA 6 fit on an Xbox Series S?
The Series S leaves 364 GB for games, so GTA 6 fits, but it would take most of the drive. With 250 GB set aside, only about 114 GB is left for everything else.
Will GTA 6 run at 60 fps?
Rockstar's target is 30 fps on every console, PS5 Pro included. It has not said whether a 60 fps mode will come later.
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Rockstar hasn't announced a PC version. Its last two big games reached PC later than consoles: GTA V about 19 months after launch and Red Dead Redemption 2 about a year after.
Can I play GTA 6 from a USB drive?
No. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S games can be stored on a USB drive, but they have to be on the internal SSD (or an M.2 SSD or Xbox expansion card) to play.
When can I download GTA 6?
Digital pre-orders can pre-load from November 12, a week before the game unlocks on November 19, 2026. Clear space before then so the download starts on time.
